Steve also helped pioneer our Brand Zealotry model and Brand Conversion research tools to help CM give clients unique insights into what motivates their customers. All to relentlessly drive sales and growth. Steve was a major influence behind one of Campbell Mithun’s most successful campaigns, H&R Block’s “You Got People.” It was named best brand insight of 2007 by Ad Age, received the 2008 AAAA Jay Chiat Account Planning Award and has gotten accolades throughout the industry.

Lance Saunders
Director of Account Planning

Lance is blessed with a natural ability to find cultural insights, inflection points, points of cultural tension where a brand or product can come in and not just solve a problem, but own some real estate. As head of Account Planning, he has assembled a strong group of planners who know where great ideas begin: with keen creative insights to strip down brands to their core essence. After all, true sustainable growth needs a solid foundation.

Lance joined Campbell Mithun after an impressive run at Leo Burnett Toronto, where he built one of the best planning departments in Canada.  During his 20-year tenure, Leo Burnett was named the #1 agency for effectively “leveraging consumer insights.”Like all good Canadians, Lance wears hockey skates when he’s not searching for the perfect creative strategy.
