The month of November has been pretty unusual for everyone at Campbell Mithun. A group of us, called the Mo’s of Mithun, have been sprouting some fuzz on our upper lips to raise awareness for men’s health issues, concentrating on prostate and testicular cancer, as part of the national Movember movement.
For 30 days we have been walking talking billboards around the community, trying to raise funds to beat this horrible disease we call cancer! We all worked hard growing and grooming our mustaches -- some harder than others, but everyone got an A for effort.
Growing the ‘staches wasn’t the only thing we worked together on: as a team (with help from family, friends and amazing co-workers), we managed to raise $1,825!
The greatest part of Movember is that no one really wants their loved ones to grow a mustache (this is not the ‘70s and the Oakland Athletics are brutal, I think – but I’m not a big baseball guy), but they know the mustache is for a great cause and so have been the greatest supporters!
Thank you to everyone around the office for putting up with our creepiness for the month. And an even bigger thank you for your support!
Happy shaving, Mo Bros!
